A recent Sunday night once again saw St Hilda’s alight for a night of local original music. Over 200 locals were treated to an evening with Karel van Helden. Karel offered a compelling narrative as he took us through songs from his new release, Child, alongside various tracks from his previous albums. With a band of seven musicians, it was a full night of music and communal goodness.

The opening solo acoustic set came from Dave Murphy, who bought us some classic and original blues. Dave gave us vulnerability and hope alongside his gutsy guitar.
