Mason Brothers heading our way

Wayne Mason and Paul Bowers-Mason team up to perform this acoustic, story-driven gig featuring hits from Wayne’s career, including ‘Nature’ on Saturday 21 March 2026 7:30pm

After their previous sold-out performances last year, Mason Brothers are taking their show on the road and will join us in Wellington.

Wayne Mason is a Kiwi music icon best known for writing NZ’s best song “Nature” for the Fourmyula, later covered by the Muttonbirds. He was also a founding member of the Warratahs, playing piano and writing their first hit song “Hands of My Heart”.

In this show Wayne and younger brother Paul Bowers-Mason will play all the best songs from Wayne’s long career in NZ music. It’s an acoustic sound with Wayne on vocals and either guitar or piano, while Paul does backing vocals and plays upright bass. Expect some interesting stories too about how the songs were written and some highlights of Wayne’s musical life.
